John Comte captured this photograph on film in the 1980's. The Terlngua Post Office was situated on 170,
about a half mile west of the "Y" junction of 118 & 170, which is now Los Paisonos Mexican Food Cafe.
The building is an adobe construction with vigas in the ceiling. The U S post office for Terlingua was in
this building from the 1980s until 1993.

The Terlingua post office moved from the Chisos Mine Village around 1949 to this location on Fulcher Ranch, on
South County Road at Terlingua Creek, (renamed Fulcher Road in 1995). Evelyn Fulcher was postmaster
before it moved to 170, from 1950 till 1962. Mary Wright was postmaster when it moved to 170 in 1980s.
